Multiple knives, guns seized during arrest of 'unwanted' man

Strathroy Caradoc police responding to a call about an unwanted person at an area home ended up seizing several knives, guns and illegal drugs.

Police were called to the home on Longwoods Road on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found a man who while not wanted by the residents of the home was wanted by another police service.

The man was arrested.

A search turned up several knives, edged weapons, two pellet guns, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. Police did not disclose the estimated dollar value of the seized drugs.

A 32-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of drugs, and drug trafficking. He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on August 2.
