Everclear to headline second night of Western Fair Stadium Series

A 90s alternative rock band will headline the second night of the Western Fair Stadium Series.

Fair officials announced on Wednesday Everclear will appear at the Sports Centre on September 11.

Since emerging in 1992, Everclear has released such hits as “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Wonderful” and “Everything To Everyone”. The band has had a career that has spanned more than three decades with 11 studio albums, including four that have been certified gold or platinum.

Treble Charger, another classic 90s band, will be opening the show. The group from Sault Ste. Marie came onto the music scene in 1995. It refined its sound over the years and in 2000 released the platinum album Wide Awake Bored. It contained such hit singles as "American Psycho” and “Brand New Low” and earned the band a Juno nomination for Rock Album of the Year.

On Monday, fair officials announced Canadian rock band July Talk would be playing the first night of the Stadium Series. Who will be performing on the third and final night on September 12.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale online at www.westernfair.ca on June 21 at 10 a.m. Prices for the Everclear show are $75, plus HST and fees and include admission to the fair.
