Following two nights of rock, the third and final concert of the Western Fair Stadium Series will feature a Canadian rapper and hip-hop artist.
AR Paisley and Ikky will perform at the Sports Centre on September 12, fair officials announced on Thursday.
AR Paisley, who got his name from the Mississauga street he grew up on, is known as one of the country’s most versatile acts to watch. He came onto the music scene in 2019 with a self-released album called "Screwface" which was streamed across digital platforms over five million times. Later that same year he went on tour with Punjabi superstar Sidhu Moose Wala, whom he then collaborated with on the track "Love Sick" in 2022. He recently signed with 91 North Records.
Ikky is a 22-year-old Canadian artist and producer with more than billion streams across the globe with songs like Amrit Maan and Sidhu Moose Wala’s “Bambiha Bole'' and Garry Sandhu’s “Yeah Baby". He brings a combination of Toronto’s signature sound of hip-hop and R&B and the vibrancy of Caribbean and Punjabi influences. He has launched the new label 4N Records, a partnership with Warner Music India/Warner Music Canada and Coalition Music.
Fair officials announced earlier this week the first two nights of the stadium concert series will feature July Talk, Everclear, and Treble Charger.
Tickets for all three shows will go on sale online at www.westernfair.ca on June 21 at 10 a.m. Prices for the September 12 show are $55, plus HST and fees and include admission to the fair.
