First Place Majors Down Leafs

The London Majors beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-3 on Friday for their third-straight win.

Humberto Ruiz drove in two runs and scored twice for the Majors, and Carlos Arteaga added three hits, two RBI and scored a run. Byron Reichstein had two hits and an RBI, while RJ Fuhr and Michael Ambrose each drove in a run.

Pitcher Elis Jimenez went eight innings and only allowed three runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out nine.

The first place Majors improved to 18-5 and are a half game ahead of Kitchener.
