The London Knights downed the Sudbury Wolves 5-4 in overtime Friday night at Budweiser Gardens.
After no scoring in the first period, Alex Formenton and Olli Juolevi both scored in the second to give the Knights a 2-0 advantage. It was short-lived, however, with Sudbury scoring three goals of their own to take the lead before the third.
The Wolves tacked one more goal on in the third to make it 4-2, but the Knights battled back with Cliff Pu scoring after 7:28. Liam Foudy tied the game for London to force OT with just over five minutes left to play.
Victor Mete had the game winner for London just 17 seconds into extra time.
London also outshot Sudbury 41-32.
The Knights are in Mississauga on Sunday to take on the Steelheads at 2pm.
