Huron County Library Report Postive Survey Feedback

A survey of Huron County residents who use the library shows they're happy with the service.

County Librarian Meighan Wark says they received over 300 responses to their survey and those responses were very positive.

The only negative comment was that some people weren't happy with the limited hours of some branches, but Wark says with 12 branches throughout the county, and a limited budget, it's not possible to keep them all open seven days a week.

Wark explains library users were very happy with the personal service they received from staff at the libraries as well as the quality of the collection available to them at the library branches.

"They do appreciate the inter-branch loan service we offer," Wark tells CKNX News. "So four days a week we have a library van that's out on the road and it's transporting materials between the branches and that's something that has garnered very positive feedback."

Wark adds respondents felt the library is good at community building, education, providing links to county services and developing community pride.
