The North Huron Community Food Share is asking several municipalities in its catchment area for financial support.
The food bank says demand has increased 25 percent in the past three years. They had to purchase over 65-thousand dollars in groceries last year for families using the service.
Food Share volunteers visited North Huron council Monday night.
It’s the first time in their 19-year-history that the North Huron Community Food Share has approached municipal councils for money.
