Minto is close to finalizing its 2015 budget.
Ratepayers can expect to pay an extra 3.8 per cent to cover Minto’s needs. That’s an extra $39 on a home valued at $205,000.
A proposed $7.1-million in capital spending will be partially funded by $2.5 million of new borrowing.
Still to be added to the final tax bill will be the levy from the county and the school board.
Minto Mayor George Bridge is urging the public to attend a budget information meeting April 7th at the municipal office starting at 5:00 p.m.
"I’m really happy with the budget, said Bridge. "We’ve got $7-million going into infrastructure and you’ll be able to see where that’s going. And also we’ll be able to show you where we’re going in the next five-year plan."
