The City of Owen Sound has awarded the contract for the reconstruction of 3rd Avenue East to Harold Sutherland Construction Limited.
Work is expected to get underway by mid April.
3rd Avenue East will be closed to through traffic from 18th Street East to East Bayshore road until mid May.
It will include reconstruction of a thousand metres of roadway, and an active transportation trail.
Sanitary sewer services, and watermain services will also be replaced.
Storm sewers, catch basins, and maintenance holes are also part of the project.
