Regional Rideshare Program Begins In Perth Huron

The United Way of Perth-Huron has unveiled its new Regional Rideshare initiative.

The program, which offers carpooling services to people without transportation options, will help people get to jobs easier and help recruiters get more staff into their facilities.

The program will also have positive environmental impacts.

RegionalRideshare.ca is where a business or individual can apply for an account, and individuals can actually use the service for one stop transportation, like a doctor's appointment for example.

"The program allows a quick, easy way for people to input where they need to go and get back to, in a desired time frame, and find people going the same route," says United Way Perth-Huron transportation task manager Ethan Rabidoux. It is safe, secure, and allows people to find a way around where they otherwise could not. We hope to see many businesses and people take advantage."
