Huron County Gaol Behind the Bars Program Needs Actors

Staff at Huron County's Historic Gaol are looking for actors to help out with this year's Behind the Bars program.

Education and Programming Assistant Sinead Cox explains the actors assume the role of one of the prisoners or staff at the jail and research that person. They then become that person for the Behind the Bars program.

The program allows visitors to walk through the jail and talk with people who are 'in character'.

The program starts the first Thursday in July and runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening throughout the summer.

Cox says they're looking for actors twelve years old or older and anyone interested can contact the Huron County Museum or email Madelaine Higgings at mhiggins@huroncounty.ca.
