Grey Bruce Charities Share $333K In Grants

Over $330,000 in grants have been distributed to charities and qualified not-for-profit organizations throughout Grey and Bruce Counties.

Community Foundation Grey-Bruce made the presentations at it's spring granting ceremony at the Hanover P-and-H Centre. This was the first of three major grant distributions for the year.

The foundation is now accepting letters of intent for Capital Projects until July 1. These grants for $3,500 to $35,000 per project will be distributed in the fall.

Those grants are for renovations, retrofits and capital equipment for registered charities and not-for-profit organizations. The last grant deadline is September 30 for Projects and Programs.

"It is thrilling for Community Foundation Grey Bruce to be able to help our donors realize their philanthropic goals by providing grants to such a wide range of non-for-profit organizations across Grey and Bruce Counties," says Kimberley West, chair of the foundation. "It's heartwarming to see the varied projects and programs that are receiving grants and, in turn, improving the quality of life in our local communities."
