Huron Special Olympics Torch Run Gains Support

A large team of OPP officers and volunteers completed the Huron Law Enforcement Special Olympic Torch Run Thursday.

OPP Sergeant Russ Nesbitt has been co-ordinating the event in Huron County for 18 years now and says support for the event continues to grow every year.

The torch run started at the OPP detachment office in Wingham and traveled through Blyth and Clinton before wrapping up in Goderich.

Nesbitt says they had two school buses full of people as well an a number of vans and other vehicles that traveled from Wingham to Goderich, making stops along the way.
