The Upper Grand District School Board will be issuing letters of promotion for elementary school students replacing their regular report card for the 2014-15 school year.
As part of their province-wide strike action, teachers are not electronically entering student marks into report cards. Instead letters will be sent home on June 22 indicating whether the student has passed the school year.
The board says directing principals and vice principals of 64 schools, some of them large, to enter the data is not considered a viable option.
In the Bluewater District School Board, students will receive their final marks at the end of the school year.
