The MPP for Perth-Wellington is trying to do what he can for the employees of Baldor Electric in Stratford.
The company announced this week that it will be phasing out manufacturing in Stratford. 65 employees are losing their jobs.
In a statement, MPP Randy Pettapiece says this is devastating news for the employees and their families.
He has contacted a senior representative of Baldor Electric and officials with the City of Stratford.
Pettapiece has also written to Brad Duguid, Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, and to Premier Kathleen Wynne, to ask them to do what they can to help.
