West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles promises his council will consider a request to declare a "dark skies" policy in the municipality.
This comes after a delegation went before council to express concerns about light pollution.
Marian Ratcliffe says turbine navigation and residential lighting are two sources of light pollution that threaten the welfare of humans, wildlife and plants.
Ratcliffe would like to see West Grey enact bylaws to project the night sky heritage, and to consider becoming a Bright Star Community.
