North Huron has set the tentative date for the re-opening of the Wingham Town Hall Theatre for next spring.
At Monday’s meeting, the Wingham Town Hall Theatre Committee announced that if they could secure the $120,000 in funding required, they could open the facility as early as April 29th of 2016.
Committee members told council they hope to receive $60,000 through the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The rest of the project would be covered by third-party grants.
The theatre needs new fire doors, sprinklers and heating and cooling systems.
