Federal NDP Leader Tom Mulcair stopped at Slits Dairy Farm near Brunner in Perth County Wednesday, outlining a plan to support farming and provide affordable food for families.
The Ontario Tour for Change included a stop at Slits Dairy Farm Wednesday morning.
Mulcair was joined by Perth-Wellington NDP candidate Ethan Rabidoux for the event.

"Under the Conservatives, 30,000 family farms have disappeared and farm debt has grown by 70 percent. Stephen Harper's plan just isn't working," says Mulcair.
The NDP's proposals include creating a payment protection program for produce farmers, maintaining Canada's supply management system and supporting farm families so they can continue to make a living.
Supply management controls the price of milk, cheese, eggs and poultry in Canada through marketing boards by restricting the supply of the products and controlling the amount produced domestically.
One of the goals of supply management is to stabilize farm income without relying on government subsidies.
Mulcair's eight-day cross-Ontario tour will continue in Chatham and Windsor. More on those visits can be found here.
