South Bruce Peninsula Man Faces Impaired Driving Charge In E-Bike Incident

A 54-year-old South Bruce Peninsula man is facing an impaired driving charge after police say he crashed his e-bike into a ditch near Oliphant on Friday night.

Bruce Peninsula OPP say Bruce EMS called them at 7:18pm regarding an injured male on Bryant Street.

Police say the male was operating his e-bike erratically before he lost control.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment where, police say, he failed a breath sample test.

He's scheduled to make an appearance at the Owen Sound Courthouse on August 20th, 2015.
