The federal government will be providing $1.12-million to Xplornet to provide approximately 1,369 homes in Bruce County with high-speed broadband internet services.
That announcement came Friday from Larry Miller, the Conservative MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, through Industry Canada’s Connecting Canadians Program.
Of the approximately 1,369 homes to be serviced by this funding, the majority are located in the Lion’s Head area.
However, homes in Arran-Elderslie, Tobermory, Miller Lake, Lion's Head, Pike Bay, and Stokes Bay will also be served.
