A South Bruce Peninsula man is facing charges for allegedly selling stolen property.
The man was arrested when his potential "buyer" turned out to be a member of the Grey County OPP Crime Unit.
It happened a parking lot on Hwy. 6 and 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs when he allegedly tried to sell a stolen Gallagher Fence Energizer M150 unit valued at about $220.
The fencer had been stolen from the TSC store in Springmount earlier this summer and was seen offered for sale on the Internet for $100 by an employee of the store, who then notified police.
The 35-year-old South Bruce Peninsula man is charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with a recognizance. He was also charged with driving while under suspension, using a plate not authorized for the vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
