A weekend farm mishap has claimed the life of a Meaford-area man.
It was about 1:30 Saturday afternoon when Grey County OPP, Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Owen Sound Fire Department responded to a report of a male pinned by a tractor on Sideroad 22 west of Irish Block Road in the Municipality of Meaford.
Investigation showed the 84-year-old victim suffered fatal injuries as a result of being pinned between a bale of hay affixed to a tractor and a steel cattle feeder.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ministry of Labour was notified of the incident.
