The Director of Education for the Avon Maitland District School Board says talks with the union representing secondary school teachers are going very well.
Ted Doherty points out the secondary teachers have a deal with the Province on provincial issues so the negotiations with the Avon Maitland Board are confined to local issues.
The Avon Maitland Board has not encountered some of the problems other boards announced last week.
Doherty adds the talks are going very well and there are no job actions at the secondary schools.
