Blue Jays Donate to Help with Local Ball Park Improvements

The Toronto Blue Jays are doing more than just playing good ball.

The organization's charitable arm has donated money this season to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys and to Hanover Minor Baseball to help with ball park improvements.

They were two of the 10 projects from across the country that were given money through the Jays Care 'Field of Dreams' program.

$135,000 went to the Hall of Fame this past summer, while $25,000 goes to Hanover Minor Ball to upgrade the town's five ball diamonds.

Field of Dreams supports capital space projects that increase access for children and youth to programs that focus on physical activity, education and life skill development.
