High School Athletics Wrap-up

It was an off day in the Bluewater Athletic Association but there was plenty of action in Huron Perth.

Kathryn Simmons lead the scoring for St. Michael Catholic Secondary School with 9 points as the Warriors topped Goderich 27-20 in Junior Girls Basketball. Simmons also lead the scoring in the Warriors 43-9 rout of F.E.Madill.

Tatum James had 30 points for Stratford Northwestern in their 52-20 romp of Central Huron.

St. Marys took two lopsided victories downing St. Anne's 55-18 and Mitchell District Highschool 52-20.

Elsewhere, South Huron topped Stratford Central 31-23, FE Madill fell 32-19 to Goderich, St. Anne's edged Mitchell 29-28 and Stratford Northwestern topped Listowel 49-20.

In Senior Girls Basketball, St. Annes edged St. Marys 20-19.

Andrea Perat Garcia had 10 points in Stratford Northwestern's 39-20 win over Central Huron. The Huskies then routed Listowel 69-21, lead by Perat Garcia again who had 29 points. Jessica Ross had 20 in the win and Marie Ginnakapoulos sunk 10.

Taylor Grasby sunk 27 points in St. Michael's 58-20 victory over Goderich.

Lindsay Babb had 22 points in Mitchell's 35-15 win over St. Marys. Jayne White lead the scoring for Mitchell with 10 in their 33-12 win over St. Annes.

Elsewhere, Stratford Central topped South Huron 46-28.

In Girls Field Hockey, Goderich defeated South Huron 3-1, Goderich shut out Mitchell 8-0, and South Huron blanked Mitchell 4-0.

In Boys Baseball, Stratford Northwestern fell 5-2 to St. Michael, Listowel doubled St. Marys 12-6 and South Huron downed Central Huron 9-4.
