Chayse Herrfort opened the scoring midway through the first on a power play goal assisted by Jamie Huber and Ben Shelley. The Cyclones wouldn't score again until midway through the third when the line of Herrfort, Shelley and Huber scored again. Shelley took credit for that goal while Shelley and Huber were credited with assists.
Kitchener's Jeremy Kuehn had a hat trick in the win and also had an assist.
In Stratford, the Cullitons topped the Elmira Sugar Kings 6-4.
The Cullitons got goals from six different players with Jared Nash leading the way with a goal and two assists, Hayden Broomhead had a goal and one assist. Other scorers were Deven Kropf, Quinton Haddock, Zach Van Louwe and Justin Graham.
The Sugar Kings were lead by Zac Coulter who scored three of Elmira's four goals. Kyle Soper was the other goal scorer for the visiting team.
Nick Redman earned the win for Stratford with 30 saves.
In other action, St. Thomas shut out St. Marys 4-0. The Stars Nikolas Dampier earned the shut out with 25 saves.
In Western Junior C action, Walkerton flew past Mitchell 6-2. The Hawks lead 3-0 after the first and never looked back. Lauchlin Elder lead the scoring with two goals and two assists.
In Wingham, the Ironmen edged Hanover 4-3 in overtime. Gregg Scott had the game winner just over four minutes into the extra frame.
In Kincardine, the Bulldogs used a four goal second period to double the Goderich Flyers 6-3.

In the Tri-County Minor Hockey League, the Owen Sound Firefighters Junior Attack hosted the Woolwich Wildcats and downed the visiting team 5-3. The Junior Attack got goals from five different players: Mitch Kaufman, Riley Gordon, CJ Hughes, Matthew Weiler, Andrew Suchomel.
