Hanover Hockey Fans Meet Leaf Legend Johnny Bower

Leaf legend Johnny Bower was in Hanover on Saturday signing autographs.

Fans young and old lined up out to the sidewalk in the rain for the chance to meet the man who backstopped the Leafs to their last Stanley Cup.

He was signing autographs on everything from old photos to Leaf Jerseys with a number one on its back.

Now 90 years old, Bower says he loves meeting the folks.

"They're good fans, I don't care whether they're Montreal or whoever you are, but as long as they come down and we're happy, I'm thrilled to see so many in the line up," says Bower..

Jane Bernier was in the line up.

"To see Mr. Johnny Bower the China wall and I love him as a goalie for Toronto for years so no, I couldn't wait, when I found out he was coming I was here," says Bernier with a laugh.

Johnny Bower's appearance in Hanover was a promotional event for Lasting Memories sports memorabilia shop.
