Meaford's building boom continues strong this year despite a drop last month.
In September, Meaford's building department issued permits worth about $1.4 million in value. That's a 26 percent drop in value from the $1.9 million in building permits issued in September of last year.
However, the Municipality's building industry is still enjoying a good year.
During the first nine months of this year, Meaford's building department issued permits with a total value of almost $15.3 million, a 36 percent jump over the $9.8 million for the same nine months of 2014.
