Defenseman Damir Sharipzyanov is the Owen Sound Attack's Becker Shoes Player of the Week.
Sharipzyanov sat out the first month of the season due to wrist surgery and returned the ice stellar fashion.
He picked up an assist Wednesday in the Attack's overtime loss ot Sarnia but it was Saturday night where the Russian really shone.
Sharipzyanov scored the Attack's first goal of the night, splitting the defenders and firing the puck over the glove of Hamilton's Charlie Graham.
He also had two assists in the game.
This Thursday will see a change in uniform for Sharipzyanov. He's joining the Russian squat as they play Team OHL in the Canada/Russia series. Puck drops at 7 p.m. at the Lumley Bayshore.
