H.P.H.A. Surpasses United Way Workplace Campaign Goal

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has wrapped up its United Way Workplace Campaign for the year, and has set a new fundraising record in the process.

The campaign, which involves employee donations, either through payroll or one-time contribution, raised $50,276.88. That surpassed their fundraising goal of $50,000, and also beat last year's total of $48,000.

"As campaign chair for Huron and Perth, I have witnessed first-hand the impact that a successful campaign has on so many residents of Huron and Perth," says Andrew Williams, HPHA president and CEO. "I am optimistic that as many individuals and businesses as possible will join the HPHA in contributing to the campaign and, more importantly, to 'changing the stories' of those who look to the United Way when in need."

Contributing to the success of the recent campaigns has been the "Work a Day for the United Way" donor option.

Employees at various levels in the organization contribute one 7.5 hour work day over the course of 26 pay periods.

"Their record breaking donations will help thousands of people in our community to move from poverty to possibility, to help kids be all they can be and to build strong communities," says Ryan Erb, executive director of the United Way Perth-Huron.
