North Perth Mayor Julie Behrns is ready to tackle 2016.
Speaking after council's Monday night meeting, Mayor Behrns noted, "It was a very busy but productive year for council. Many construction projects, including the roundabout that is upcoming, as well as numerous wells.”
Mayor Behrns also noted the highly publicized North Perth Library situation, and says “we will continue to look at the library situation in 2016 as well.”
Going forward, the Mayor mentioned the upcoming daycare centre and school initiatives, and also gave an update on the Steve Kerr Memorial Park Project.
The Mayor says Lisotwel residents should expect soil to start moving for the project in the early part of 2016, and noted the fundraising for the project has been tremendous.
