South Bruce OPP stresses there is no threat to public safety after a report of a male near Chesley District Community School.
The man was spotted near the school along 4th Ave. today, triggering a lockdown to prevent unauthorized access to the school.
Grey County OPP helped South Bruce officers in a search of the area, but did not locate the suspicious man. Police say this is an isolated incident.

Chesley District Community School was put under lockdown today after a report of a suspicious male near the school.
According to the Bluewater District School Board, further details regarding the incident will be forthcoming from the OPP. The lockdown and subsequent "hold and secure" have been lifted.
School board officials say that the incident did not occur in the school but that the necessary precautions were taken to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Chesley District Community School staff continue to communicate with parents.
