The weather agency was previously predicting around 10-20 cm of snowfall by late Friday evening, with the most intense activity expected this afternoon and evening.
As 5:40pm on Friday, Environment Canada says snow squall conditions are no longer expected.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
