A jury was selected yesterday after Schweitzer's plea of not guilty. Schweitzer is accused of the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Nicole Wagler. He also faces a charge of attempted murder in the shooting of a 22-year-old man the same day.
Three weeks have been set aside for the trial in Stratford.
Proceedings are expected to start at 10 a.m.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
