ABCA Looking For 'Conservationist Of The Year'

Nominations are still being accepted for the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority's Conservationist of the Year.

Communications Specialist Tim Cumming explains the award is their way of recognizing an individual, company, or service group for outstanding work in the watershed.

The nominee doesn't have to live in the watershed, but the work has to be done in the watershed.

Cumming says the award can be for a single project, but is more often presented for a body of work that has been done over a period of years.

The deadline for nominations is January 29, and the form can be found on the ABCA web site.

The Conservationist of the Year award is presented at the authority's awards night in March.
