A proposed Kincardine Economic Development draft plan would help council foster, promote, and implement economic and tourism development initiatives.
Council will be asked to study The Draft Terms of Reference and consider funding for the committee as part of 2016 budget talks.
Last year, council ended a contract with the Penetangore Regional Economic Development group, and assigned the responsibility to the CAO's office.
CAO Murray Clarke says the proposal will come back to council on February 17th for further discussion.
A stakeholders forum was held in October, as part of the process.
The committee plans to identify business retention, attraction and expansion opportunities.
It plans to cultivate a community wide investment image, while promoting the town as an attractive environment for existing and prospective businesses.
