Second Case of Wire Across Trail on Crown Land

It's a dangerous and potentially deadly situation.

A second incident involving barbed wire strung across a gateway to Crown land has police sending out another warning.

Grey County OPP say a single strand was found at the entrance to the Grey County Forest Management area on the Osprey-Blue Mountain Town Line at the 4th Line in Blue Mountains.

Police were called to the site on Friday afternoon where they located a sign that read:

“Snowmobile Trail Closed - Snowmobiles Stay Off to Avoid Prosecution"

Caution – Beware of Wire Barriers on Closed Trails

A similar incident took place last week in Grey Highlands.

Police warn the person responsible is creating a dangerous condition that could cause serious harm or death.
