OPP Patrol Hwy. 6 Between Mount Forest Arthur

Hwy. 6 between Mount Forest and Arthur continues to be a concern for police patrolling the area.

Wellington County OPP blitzed the stretch of road between January 18 and February 1.

During the two weeks, there was a total of 13 speeding offences and one charge of passing unsafely.

Officers also investigated when three vehicles ended up in the ditch with no damage. Each of those incidents happening during poor weather and road conditions.

The focus was put into place after studying five years worth of data that showed motor vehicle collisions continue to be a concern on Hwy. 6 between Mount Forest and Arthur.

Speed and weather conditions were the two biggest factors.
