A hearing last week did nothing to resolve a dispute between the developers of subdivisions along the Lake Huron shoreline in Goderich and Central Huron.
Goderich CAO Larry McCabe explains lawyers for A2A Homes and Fusion Homes met last week along with the solicitor for Goderich.
McCabe explains Fusion Homes is proposing a subdivision of 300 homes in land at the south end of Goderich west of highway 21 while A2A homes is proposing a subdivision just south of that in Central Huron.
McCabe says A2A homes is objecting to a zoning amendment being requested by Fusion Homes and suggests the concerns are over road re-alignment in the Fusion subdivision, the over-sizing of services for storm and sanitary and the major concern is storm water management.
McCabe says the dispute is now headed to a full OMB hearing sometime in Mid August and is expected to last about ten days.
McCabe adds in the time from now until the OMB hearing the two sides will set dates and time lines for the exchange of submissions.
