The deadline to make a submission to the first ever Hawks' Nest competition for entrepreneurs is coming up soon.
The Saugeen Economic Development Corporation and Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation are anticipating many submissions from Grey, Bruce, Wellington North, Minto and the City of Owen Sound.
The Dragon's Den inspired competition allows new or existing business people to pitch an idea to secure financial and professional support from local angel investors, called Hawks.
Winners can expand or launch a new business with a minimum of $25,000 up for grabs.
Four of the five Hawks have been announced. They are Ashley and Lesya Chapman of Chapman's Ice Cream, Duncan Hawthorne of Bruce Power, Dr. Bob McFarlane from the McFarlane Health Facility, and Tony Solecki from Caframo.
You must submit a signed application and ten page business plan by Friday, March 11.
The final event takes place Tuesday, June 21 at the Kincardine Pavilion.
