The Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network has asked North Wellington Health Care and Groves Memorial Hospital to move forward with the proposed governance integration.
The LHIN believes collaboration and integration is an important way to address health status and health outcomes for residents in Wellington County.
The two hospital corporations have met and determined that they prefer to create a Join Executive Committee, and a new Alliance Agreement.
The LHIN Board of Directors reviewed the process at its last meeting.
