Environment Canada has issued another Special Weather Statement for our area, and it's not what the local conservation authorities want to hear.
Rain is expected to spread into Southern and Midwestern Ontario tonight and continue for much of the day Thursday.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be significant in some areas. There is a Rainfall Warning in effect for the Bruce Peninsula, from Sauble Beach to Tobermory.
Local rivers, streams and tributaries remain almost 'bank full' because of the heavy rainfall several days ago, so flooding is possible in some areas. All the local conservation authorities will be monitoring conditions closely.
Meanwhile, the Flood Warning for the Town of Grand Valley has ended, but the Grand River Conservation Authority says flows through Elora will be up to the boardwalk behind Mill Street over the next day.
The St. Jacob’s low level bridge will remain closed until high flows in the Conestogo River recede.
