Perth County OPP have released new information about their investigation into the death of a little boy in Atwood earlier this week.
The results of medical examinations and the police investigation indicate that no foul play was involved in the death of 22-month-old Owen Befurt. Police say they do not expect to lay any charges.
Emergency personnel responded to a 911 call around 4:30am Monday morning to a residence on Main St. in Atwood.
The little boy had fallen down a stairway. He was pronounced dead at the Listowel Memorial Hospital a short time later.
