Huron County Manufacturer Helping The Environment

A small Huron County manufacturer is turning more than just heads.

With the opening this week of the new medical marijuana facility near Kincardine, it's going to be more than just plants that grow.

Seaforth-based Actium Resources designs, builds and supplies composting equipment for a number of markets - including restaurants, bed and breakfasts and livestock farms.

And now, they can add a medical marijuana facility to their list.

John Kloeze is the owner/proprietor of Actium Resources and also the holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, and says he's thrilled to have his products play an important part at Advanced Medical Marihuana Canada's facility near Kincardine.

"Most of our customers are livestock producers but I have a composter in a remote northern community, community garden, restaurants, bed and breakfasts and now a medical marijuana facility," says Kloeze.

The composter itself is a large drum that rotates, speeding up the composting process of organic waste materials and residues that would otherwise be difficult to break down.

Kloeze says while he lives in Goderich and has his company based in Seaforth, he has people working for him in other parts of Huron County like Blyth and Hensall.
