Wellington County OPP arrested a suspect who was being chased by residents who caught him entering vehicles in Palmerston.
Police were called about 5:40am on Saturday about a man who was being followed near the Palmerston Arena, after the suspect was seen going through people's vehicles.
Police met up with the group near the arena, and seized a knapsack containing stolen property.
A 23 year old Clifford man is charged with theft, and will appear in court in Guelph May 27.
OPP remind residents to lock houses and vehicles, even when they are at home.
