The 2016 Mission Zimbabwe team is preparing to head overseas to serve the Village of Hope.
Team Leader Barry Mutrie says the group departs for Zimbabwe May 7th to volunteer.
He calls last weekend's Mission Zimbabwe Sugar Bush Festival to raise money for Zimbabwe a success.
He says more than $5,000. will be raised for the project.
Over 100 volunteers helped put together the Sugar Bush Festival at Cedar Rail Camp in Chesley on Saturday.
Families enjoyed pancakes, entertainment, alpacas, syrup making, blacksmith and dog agility demos.
All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Village of Hope and Vimbainesu Children’s Home in Zimbabwe.
