London Wins to Take 3-0 lead in OHL Championship Series

Owen MacDonald scored the game winner for London as the Knights edged the Niagara Ice Dogs 6-5 in Game 3 of the OHL Championship Series.

Matthew Tkachuck scored for London just 32 seconds into the game. Less than a minute later Ryan Mantha answered for the Ice Dogs who would score four more goals in the first. London's Cliff Pu netted a short handed goal with under a minute left in the frame. The Ice Dogs led 4-2 going into the second.

Aleksander Mikolovich opened the scoring in the second for the Ice Dogs  at 6:31. Three minutes later, Olli Juolevi scored unasssisted for the Knights. London was down 5-3 heading into the third.

Christian Dvorak scored for the Knights at 7:42 of the third and Victor Mete got the tying goal just past the midway point.

MacDonald scored his game winning goal just under three minutes into the extra frame.

Tyler Parsons earned the win with 25 saves. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 33 shots for the Ice Dogs.

London is now up 3-0 in the series. Game 4 is Wednesday in Niagara.
