Conners vaulted from 92nd place to a tie for 31st and is now one under for the tournament.
He started the Casa De Campo Dominical Republic Open with a three over 75.
Conners has three top ten finishes on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
American Ken Looper is still in the lead at nine under for the tournament. He shot a three under 66 yesterday.
