Huron County's Director of Economic Development says the county is working on a plan to attract more immigration.
Ron Gaudet says many employers in Huron are looking for people to help them expand or even maintain their current level of activity. Part of the challenge is to get the message to young people in Huron that there are job opportunities here. But Huron County also needs immigration to fill jobs.
Gaudet says that means demonstrating to immigrants in the Greater Toronto Area that they can earn a good wage and enjoy a better quality of life in Huron than they could in the GTA.
Gaudet says they need to develop a better link between employers needs and employee needs, as well as educate more people about where Huron County is, and how it could fit into their lifestyle choice.
