This morning's Grey County Council meeting came to a grinding halt as a protester interrupted the proceedings and refused to leave.
Owen Sound homeless advocate Raymond Botten of The Victorious Living Centre walked into the middle of today's meeting, telling council they don't do enough to fight poverty.
He wouldn't stop, and refused to leave, so councillors vacated the chambers and police were called.
Botton surrendured peacefully and was taken away in a cruiser.
Police say they plan to lay trespassing charges.
Grey County Council meeting resumed afterwards.
